Favorite Photo Friday - Snapshot #11

What a big BOY!! Snapped this photo last night in the backyard -- we were out playing with Wayne-Dog and Pinkie (Andy's mom came in town to watch John this week). John loves his Dynamo soccer ball that Grampa and Gramma gave us (Dynamo is Houston's MLS soccer team). And I just love this picture of him! It totally captures his big cheesy grin that just melts my heart! What a happy, joyful boy -- and what a blessing he is to us!

Favorite Photo Friday - Snapshot #10

Well this week's post is late for good reason.... I've had a nasty stomach bug since Friday evening. I think I'm on the upside of things (or at least I hope so!), so I thought I'd catch up online a little. In honor of this weekend's lovely events, here's a picture Andy took on his phone on Saturday while I was taking a nap. Don't worry, the pink bucket had not been used for what it was intended for! Andy says John just wanted to play with his Momma!
What a sweetheart! Hopefully neither of my boys will catch whatever I've got... In the meantime, y'all have a great week! God bless!

Happy 1st Birthday, John!

We had a wonderful weekend of celebrations -- both Andy's Law School graduation and John's 1st Birthday! We were so blessed to have both sets of John's Grandparents in town, as well as family and friends here in Lubbock, to join us for the celebration! I'll make a post of that sometime soon, but here are a few photos of John's actual birthday, which was Monday, May 16th. We celebrated with what was left of his cake from the weekend... Can't believe our little guy is already 1 year old!!! Oh, what a blessing he is!

Favorite Photo Friday - Snapshot #9

What a big weekend we have ahead of ourselves! Lots to celebrate -- tomorrow Andy graduates from Law School!! Horray!! And on Monday, John turns ONE year old!! So we'll be celebrating with a joint party for graduation/birthday with family and friends. BOTH of John's grandparents came into town for the event -- what a lucky boy! :) So this week, I actually posed John for a the FPF photo - in Dada's silly graduation hat!

Favorite Photo Friday - Snapshot #8

YAAAAY Dada!!!!

Well this has been a big week for somebody in our household.... Andy finished Law School on Wednesday!!! Three whole years of ridiculous amounts of reading, intense exams, reciting and debating in front of 50+ of your peers... holy smokes, he's DONE!!! And what an accomplishment! We are SO very proud of him! I don't have a photo commemorating it yet (graduation isn't until May 14th), but this is a photo I snapped of John after church a few weeks ago. It was saved on my phone, and I texted it to Andy after his last final EVER!!! (Well, except for the biggest "final" of his life -- the Bar Exam in late July...) ;)
A job well done, Dada!

Happy Boy!

These photos were taken about a month ago, but I thought they were too cute not to share! John was taking a nap in his crib, and I snuck in to check on him. I love this one -- look where his left foot is! No idea how he sleeps in these crazy positions, poor boy! :)
Then he started to stir.... he often wakes up SO happy after a nap! What a sweetheart!
