Favorite Photo Friday - Snapshot #37

This week we sure have a lot to be thankful for! And even though he got really sick, John had a good week overall... here's a look at it from his perspective:

Snugglin' together with my Dada and my Wayne-Dog:

Falling asleep with Mama (and snuggling baby brother Will!) after a long day:

Playing with Wayne-Dog in the backyard:

Going on a walk down to the park in the chilly fall weather:

Being sweet even when I'm teething those mean ol' eye teeth!

Acting like a turkey with my favorite new turkey (thanks to Gramma for the pumpkin-turkey -- our latest addition to the "Fall Extravaganza" on our front porch). As you can tell, I started feeling crummy this day, the day before Thanksgiving:

Mama made Lefse after I went to bed on Wednesday night -- it's a Bergman family tradition at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Lefse (pronounced "lef-suh") ;) is like a really thin tortilla made from potatoes... I wasn't a huge fan of it this year, though I didn't eat anything well since I was sick. But I bet I'll learn to love it... maybe even as much as Mama does!

Passed out from too much turkey on Thanksgiving Day. (I had a high fever all day and night, so was feeling pretty under the weather... Mama soaked up all the snuggles, though.) ;)

Mama and Dada say this one really captures how pitiful I felt for Thanksgiving... even though I didn't feel good, we sure have a LOT to be thankful for!!

Well that about wraps it up! Even though I had a bad virus, I'm beginning to feel like my old self again. We hope you and your family had a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving Day. My Uncle Dave came over to celebrate with us, and we had a nice little feast! So grateful to still spend the day with some family, even though the rest of the Hefferly Family was spread out all over (Houston and Idaho!).

Despite all the ups and downs lately, our growing little family is so very blessed! May God bless each of you this Christmas Season and always!

Love,
John and my family :)

Favorite Photo Friday - Snapshot #36

Hi again! Hope you've had a great week! Last weekend we were fortunate enough to get free tickets to the Tech football game vs. OSU through some very good friends of ours. Unfortunately, you all either saw or heard how terrible that game turned out. :( Tech has had a rough year to say the least! But nevertheless, we still enjoyed getting to take John to the game, and we were grateful for the tickets!

This is my favorite photo! He looks like he's really into the game and hollering at the field, haha! A real fan!
Hanging out with Dada at the football game:

Goofin' around with Momma:

Family photo op:

A sweet one of bedtime snuggles with Dada... No matter how crazy life may seem, it's so humbling and such a blessing to have family:

Playing in his bedroom... this week John discovered that he can climb on his little shelf to see out the window better:

Look at that mouthful of teeth!

Love this one... A boy and his dog!

Have a great weekend and a wonderful Thanksgiving week! We sure have SO much to be thankful for! God bless you and keep you! And safe travels to any of you traveling to be with family for the holiday!

Love,
Abby, Andy, John, Baby Will, and Wayne-Dog :)

18 Months/100 Days!

What a day today is -- John turned 18 months old today! It's hard to believe our first little miracle is already 1 1/2 years old! He has brought more JOY to our lives than we could have ever imagined!! We are so grateful for the blessing and privilege it is to be his Momma and Dada!

Here he is at just 1 month old:And now at 18 months old! (Different toy, similar size)

Also, today marks the 100 day mark for our pregnancy -- 100 days to go, that is! Hard to believe our second little miracle will be here that soon!

Hope you're having a great week so far. God bless!
Love,
Abby, Andy, John, Baby Will, and Wayne-Dog :)

Favorite Photo Friday - Snapshot #35

Happy Veteran's Day! A great big Thank You to all of our family members, friends, and all other Veterans who have served this great country!! We hope you know how very appreciated you and your sacrifices (and those of your family!) are.

This week has been another good one! So without further adieu, let's get on to the photos...

Poor Wayne-Dog has got to be the BEST, most patient dog EVER... even patient enough to be a step-stool to get onto the couch:

Sweet boy!

One of John's new favorite activities is to empty the entire contents of his drawers when we think he is just playing quietly in his room...

Then when told to "put it back," he will pick up one item at a time and stuff it back in there in one big pile... any chance we can teach an 18-month old how to fold clothes??
(By the way, how great is his after-nap hair? Talk about bed head!) :)

So the big event this week was on Thursday -- Andy was sworn in as an Attorney in the great state of Texas!! He was presented before the court, and this is unfortunately the only photo I got of that part of the ceremony -- John took a late nap and woke up right before the ceremony. Of course that meant he did NOT want to sit still or be quiet, so I was outside with him for the majority of the ceremony. We walked in just in the nick of time to see Andy getting sworn in! So with John squirming in my arms, I frantically grabbed my phone and took this blurry picture - oh the joys of parenthood! ;) Regardless of the poor photography, we are so VERY proud of Andy!!

Here the new Attorneys are taking an oath (ok, it was really after the oath, but the judges had them pose so family members could take photos... :) I do believe they've done this before!) Andy is on the far right of the line of attorneys with the orange tie:

A family photo op in the courtroom with Texas' newest lawyer!

And to bring this post to a close, here's a great one of our sweet John Boy sleeping like a starfish (or a "dar"-fish as he would say) ;)

Hope you have a wonderful and restful weekend! Take care and God bless you!

Love,
Abby, Andy, John, Baby Will, and Wayne-Dog :)

Halloween Fun!

On Sunday night, we finally sat down to carve our pumpkin! John got to help this year:

Gooey mess!

Special memories with Dada:

Our finished product:

And here's our little golfer! Sadly, this is the only photo we have of John wearing his handsome hat (that Gramma made him)!

On Halloween, Andy picked John up from daycare, then they came by the clinic to visit me at work! After I finished all my paperwork, we headed over to see Mandi and the girls. Shelby and Kinsey dressed up as fairy princesses:

Say cheese!

Our attempt at getting the cousins together for one picture:

I guess John was proud of himself for posing for the photos -- here he is taking a bow: ;)

Little Payne Stewart with his golf clubs:

Ready to hit the course...

...But not without his caddy!

The best of many attempts to get Golfer John and Caddy Wayne together for a photo:

Well we hope you and your families had a Happy Halloween! It seems like Thanksgiving will be here before we know it -- boy, this year is flying by! Hope y'all have a great rest of the weekend... Take care and God bless!

Love,
Abby, Andy, John, Baby Will, and Wayne-Dog :)

Favorite Photo Friday - Snapshot #34

Well we've had another great week! Halloween was fun on Monday -- that post to come -- but the most exciting thing this week was seeing this:
That's Andy's name on the list of those who passed the Texas Bar Exam!!! Results were posted yesterday -- it's official! He's now a licensed attorney! The boys and I are SOOOOO proud of him! All your hard work has paid off -- way to go, Dada!!

On to other pictures... even though this one is blurry, I love it! Andy took this one morning this week -- oh to be able to sleep like that! :) What a sweetheart!

The rest of the photos were actually taken today -- John joined Dada and Wayne-Dog out in the backyard to play around:

Could he be any cuter?? ;)

Playing chase with Dada!

Then John joined Mama for a quick trip to Target. We tried on some hats to be silly -- any surprise that his giant cranium is too big for this hat?? :)

Y'all have a great weekend! Sure hope our Red Raiders will show up to play tomorrow against UT! Take care and God bless!

Love,
Abby, Andy, John, Baby Will, and Wayne-Dog :)
