Favorite Photo Friday - Snapshot #32

I'm hoping to get back on track this week -- by actually completing a Favorite Photo Friday post ON Friday! :) We've had a great week this week! Our friends Jared and Katie Bares (and son Logan) visited last weekend, and this weekend Pinkie (Andy's Mom, Terry) is in town. She's here to see Andy's brother Dave in a Texas Tech play... and to see her grandson of course. :) I'll make separate posts on those, as well as from the previous weekend when my family came into town, so this week I'll just focus on our time between guests!

Sunday night we went to the last home game of the Texas Tech Women's Soccer team. Since I used to play for that team (ok, more like ride the bench) ;) it was sure fun to see the nice new stadium actually FULL of fans! Although we had to leave just after half-time (due to a tired boy), they ended up beating UT 3-2 in double overtime! It would've been a great game to stay for! Nonetheless, we had a great time!

John watching the game from behind the fence (shocker, he wouldn't sit still in the bleachers) ;)Ben and Jacob came along! A special thanks to Ben for getting us into the game for free!
The best of many attempts to get a photo of John and Momma at the game... he never looked at the camera once!
Whether you were here in Lubbock to experience or saw it on the national news, we had a CRAZY dust storm early this week! I took this photo on my phone at work -- it doesn't do it justice, but the sky was just orange and visibility was terrible! We were all just grateful to be inside!
I stole this photo from online, but it shows the Texas Tech football stadium during the storm:

Poor John had a long day! Fell asleep during dinner...
And here's a sweet one of Dada reading with John:
Random collection of photos, but it technically is a little "snapshot" of our week! And obviously we had a special morning on Tuesday when we had our sonogram of Baby Will! Hope you have a GREAT weekend! We send up our prayers for all the Tech college students participating in Raider Awakening #45 this weekend (I retreated #29 as a freshman and Andy retreated #30) -- being a part of that retreat each semester played a huge role in our individual lives and in our relationship together through college and beyond.

Enjoy all the sports this weekend... Go Red Raiders! And Go Rangers! (yes, we're still Astros fans, but "Go Rangers" anyways!) ;) Take care and God bless!

Love,
Abby, Andy, John, Baby Will, and Wayne-Dog :)

It's A...

...BOY!!!

That's right, John is going to have a little BROTHER! This morning we had our 22-week sonogram, where they do the big anatomy check. We feel so blessed and are so grateful that everything looks healthy! And we got to confirm that we are going to have our second little boy!

We are more than excited to share with you some of the first photos of our second son, William Mark Hefferly! (He's named after his two grandpas -- William is my Dad's middle name, and Mark is Andy's Dad's first name -- and we plan to call him Will).

Baby Will's sweet profile:
His little feet:
He's already "all boy" -- ready for a fight! "Show me your dukes!"
One of the 4D ultrasound pictures of Will's little face:
This is one of my favorites -- our little 15 oz miracle all curled up:
That's it for now! Thank you for all the prayers and well-wishes with our second pregnancy... just 4 months to go! February 24th will be here before we know it! Take care and God bless!

Love,
Abby, Andy, John, Baby Will and Wayne-Dog :)

Catching Up! Favorite Photo Fridays #27-31!

Yikes! I have gotten so very far behind on here! I won't get into all my excuses as to why, ;) but instead of trying to catch up on each weekly post, I thought I'd just throw it all together in a smorgasbord of photos to capture all we've been up to over the past month! So here goes...

Our sweet angel! Could he look any more innocent and precious?? Don't mind all the screaming and antics that most likely happened earlier that day... This makes up for every bit of it! :) Some of my colleagues joined Andy, John and I for the annual Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes 5k on Sept 17th.
After the Diabetes Walk... John says, "I walked for Gramma!"
What a silly guy!
Our happy boy!
Hahaha, this was hysterical! After Mass on Sunday, we have a tradition of going out to eat with our friends, the Johnsons. John was all tuckered out and actually fell asleep DURING lunch! Poor boy! This had to have been so uncomfortable, but he was out!
Cracking himself up in the backseat... :) John is such a fun-loving kiddo!
We celebrated both Andy's and my birthday this month (as well as several of our extended family members'). John got to help Dada blow out his candles!
Another great sleeping photo... this one just makes me smile!
John has had several more bumps and bruises now that he is so active -- running and climbing on everything! He got tangled up in a blanket by the couch and crashed into the coffee table right before this picture -- poor boy! It was a hard hit, and he had a little shiner to prove it! :(
Haha, LOVE his expression in this one! While Mama and Dada were getting ready for work one morning, John was hanging out in Dada's closet with his beloved blanket. I thought it was funny how he snuck back between the shirts, but my favorite thing about this photo is his sweet, funny little face!
So we've tried not to let John play with our cell phones too much, but he gets a big kick out of that Tom Cat/Talking Tom app... he just kept giggling and giggling at it! (and check out what's left of his bruised eye)
Mr. Blue Eyes!
John sure enjoyed this meal -- the photo doesn't do it justice, but he went straight to the bath after this one! There's definitely peanut butter and apple sauce in his hair! What a BIG boy!
HOT DOG! While unpacking our fall decor, I found Wayne-Dog's Halloween costume from last year! So of course he had to try it on. :)
A few weeks ago we put out our "Fall Extravaganza" on the front porch... now all it needs is pumpkins!
Happy Fall Y'all!
Sorry this is such a long post! I'll try to do a better job keeping up... I do still need to post pictures from the 9/11 Memorial, but my next post will probably be of sonogram pictures -- we're having our 22 week sonogram tomorrow, where we should be able to confirm if John is going to have a baby brother or sister!

We've also really enjoyed having family and friends visit recently... I'll make those posts soon as well! Take care and God bless!

Love,
Abby, Andy, John, Baby and Wayne-Dog :)

Favorite Photo Friday - Snapshot #26

Wow! It's been 26 weeks since I started Favorite Photo Friday -- can't believe it's already been half a year! This Friday John is fighting a fever (and has been for a few days), so he's a little under the weather... :( Nonetheless, we've still got a few happy photos to share from this week! Even when he feels sick, our sweet boy is still a happy guy! Oh, what a blessing he is!!

Hiding out with his toys:
A naked rugger?!? (Rugby player, for those who don't know) :)
Our fever-stricken-but-you'd-never-know-it-except-that-his-head-is-on-fire boy:
And about an hour later, it caught up to him... pooooor boy!
Y'all have a good and safe weekend. We pray for the victims of 9/11 and their families a decade later, and hope each of you take time for remembrance this anniversary weekend. Also, prayers and thank yous go out to all of our Armed Forces for serving this great country and keeping us safe! God bless y'all!

Love,
Abby, Andy, John, Baby, and Wayne-Dog

Favorite Photo Friday - Snapshot #25

Red Raider Football, here we come! :) This Friday, Pinkie (Andy's mom) came into town to visit and for Grant Asmussen's (our newest nephew) Baptism. Mark, Laura, Kolbe, Rudy, and Grant are (obviously) also in town! So after enjoying a great dinner down by campus at Spanky's (and of course, an order of their famous fried cheese!), we headed over to see the ol' Will Rogers and Soap Suds statue all decked out in red crepe paper (a Game Day tradition)!

John got to do some "flying" with Dada and Pinkie -- he loved it!
Cousins! We tried to get the 3 "big boys" together for a photo op...
...but John was too interested in running around!
These guys, on the other hand, got the hang of it! Kolbe and Reagan are ol' pros at the "Two Brothers!" photos:
John, meet Will Rogers. Will Rogers, meet John. (Though he does look a little creepy all wrapped up)
Wa-hoo!
Tomorrow we're going to brave taking John to the Tech vs. Texas State football game! It won't be his first Tech game, but it'll be his first now that he can run around... so things might get a little interesting for Mama and Dada! Luckily, we'll also have Pinkie for reinforcements, and we were very fortunate to snag some great seats from some dear and generous friends. Looking forward to it!!

WRECK 'EM TECH!
