Lubbock Baby Shower

Sorry that photo turned out so dark, but what a great spread!! This blog post is also overdue, but I wanted to share some photos from the Baby Shower here in Lubbock, back on March 20th! It was so nice, and I want to thank all of the hostesses for throwing such a wonderful shower! Unfortunately that Saturday morning, the temperature was 28 degrees, the roads were icy, and everything outside was covered in snow! Besides that, it was a great time! :)

Here's another photo of the main table with better lighting - the food was DELICIOUS! And the decorations were awesome! Alley made the CUTE diaper cake (with Baby John's first Texas Tech outfit to boot!) :) And Mandi made the awesome letters hanging on the window that spell out "John"! We hung those up in the nursery yesterday -- they look GREAT on his wall!!
The beautiful hostesses! From left to right: Erin Johnson (it was at her home), Alley Seifert, (me), Laura Asumssen (my sister-in-law), and Mandi Bergman (also my sister-in-law). Thanks again y'all:
A close-up of the cute letters Mandi made (she also made us some cute burp rags, a hooded towel, and a super cute shopping cart cover... so talented!!!):
The clothes line with little monster outfits... LOVE it!
A few close-ups of the diaper cake! It was LOADED with little goodies all around it and inside of it... Alley did a fantastic job! So creative! :)

A few of the guests/hostesses... (L to R) Alley Seifert, Tina Latimer (one of my good friends and co-workers), and Lisa Myers (another great friend):
Laura and her Mom (or "Pinkie" as John will call her one day) ;)

Some of the Gaschen Sisters: Mimi, Terry, and Lulu. Thanks so much for coming!

The great foam blocks that Laura made for Baby John -- she is so darn creative with that sewing machine!!! Aren't they cute?!

The basket of homemade goodies for Baby John from his Aunt Laura (yes, Laura made just about everything in there!)

The awesome monster hooded towel that Mandi made - she says it'll fit him when he's about 20 years old ;) haha. So it's a little big, but still SO cute!
My niece Shelby... what a cutie!
My other niece Kinsey, with Laura and Lisa:
The girls playing with their mama (Mandi) at the end of the shower:

Well that's about it! We were showered with SO many wonderful, generous gifts! Thank you so much to everyone! We are so blessed - thank you for helping us prepare for Baby John's arrival (which is supposedly 20 days away still, but my OB says he'll be here sooner... and we agree! So who knows, it could even be any day now! We'll see! And we'll keep you updated...) :) Take care and God bless!

Love,
Abby, Andy, Baby John, and Wayne-Dog :)
